We are so excited to include this charming, vintage 1970’s converted horse trailer as part of the Alton Farmstead rental package! It was converted by another central Ohio couple for their own wedding, and now Alton Farmstead couples get to use it for their big day!

The possibilities are endless … bar, photo booth, ice cream bar, coffee bar, late night snacks … how will you use it for your day?

  • The farm is located on the west / southwest outer-edge of Columbus, with all the amenities of the city including access to an extensive range of options for lodging, catering and other vendors

  • Uber and Lyft accessible

  • Only 10 minutes from I-70 and I-270

  • Less than 20 minutes from Grandview, Franklinton, and downtown Columbus

  • You’ll have exclusive access to the historic farm and it’s re-purposed buildings and grounds, surrounded by flower fields, hay fields, open pasture, black wooden fencing, and a meandering creek

  • The farm is a naturally-beautiful setting and doesn’t require a lot of decorating - only enough to give it your personal touch and make it your own

  • Spaces and buildings that you can use include:

    • Long barn, open on one side facing the other barns

    • Stable barn, with attached wooden deck and edison bulb string lighting

    • Climate-controlled milk house dressing room

    • Concrete barnyard lined with hydrangeas

    • Gravel barnlot central to all barns

    • Enclosed, air-conditioned space for bar, catering prep, and storage. Includes freezer and refrigerator

    • Ample hay field parking

Flexible

  • Supply your own alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks - this alone can save you a TON of money!

    • Note that an insured, TIPS-certified bartender is required for alcohol service with more than 50 guests

  • Choose your own vendors, including caterers and/or food trucks

    • We can help guide you with referrals of vendors who are terrific and budget-friendly!

  • Pet-friendly - include even your hairiest family member(s) in your big day!

    • We partner with an amazing kennel only 1-1/2 mile from the farm who can help with any before-or-after transportation and care for your pet(s)

Comfortable

When the farm was a working dairy farm, fresh cows’ milk would be stored and kept cool in a below-ground pit in the milk house. The milk house was recently restored, re-purposed and converted into a charming, quaint dressing room!

  • It includes A/C and heat, and is a cozy, private and comfortable place to ‘hide’ as guests arrive prior to the ceremony

  • Some have even used it as their getting-ready space, getting their hair and makeup done right on-site

  • It also includes a garment steamer and a wedding-day ‘emergency’ kit

  • Pricing is as shown above, unless otherwise indicated next to the date on the ‘Dates Available’ page.

  • Pricing subject to change at any time. Your fees and terms will be based on the date the contract is written, not the date of your tour, or the date you booked your tour.

  • The farm can accommodate up to 250 guests.

  • For weddings with 150-175 guests, we recommend (but do not require) the addition of a tent to the long barn open reception space.

  • For weddings with more than 175 guests, we require the addition of a tent and additional chairs.

  • Tent and chair rental is coordinated by the farm through a 3rd party supplier. For more information on tent rental, click here.
